Video: Blazers' Meyers Leonard ejected for flagrant foul on Lakers' Kendall Marshall

Blazers center Meyers Leonard was ejected for delivering a flagrant foul to Lakers guard Kendall Marshall during Portland's 124-112 road victory on Tuesday night.

This was one of those garbage time plays that never should have happened. With Portland leading 124-108 and less than a minute remaining, Marshall pushed the ball up the court in transition. Looking to prevent an easy layup, Leonard took Marshall out of the air by using his left hand to yank Marshall's left arm.

Portland's big man immediately seemed to exhibit some signs of remorse, but the damage was already done. Leonard received a flagrant foul 2, a designation that applies to contact that is deemed both "unnecessary and excessive" and which carries an automatic ejection. He did not register any statistics during his two minutes of playing time other than the flagrant foul.

Marshall was not injury on the play and he was able to remain in the game.

Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 34 points (on 10-for-22 shooting), eight rebounds and three steals. LaMarcus Aldridge added 31 points (on 12-for-20 shooting), 15 rebounds and six assists in the win.

Nick Young scored a game-high 40 points (on 15-for-26 shooting) and added four rebounds. Kent Bazemore finished with 17 points (on 6-for-10 shooting) and four rebounds in a losing effort.
