LeBron James indicated Tuesday that he's been battling a back issue in the early part of the Cleveland Cavaliers' training camp.

James said his back has been "iffy," according to ESPN.com's Dave McMenamin. James has yet to miss a work out but said he could sit one out on Tuesday night.

James, 29, has played in at least 75 regular season games in all but one (2011-12) of his 11 seasons. The four-time MVP has also played in at least 20 postseason games in each of the past four seasons.

James, who signed a two-year contract with the Cavaliers this summer after spending the last four seasons with the Miami Heat, averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.3 assists last season. SI.com ranked him No. 1 on its list of top 100 players.

In addition to signing James, the Cavaliers this offseason traded for star forward Kevin Love and added guard Mike Miller and forwards James Jones and Shawn Marion.

Cleveland finished 33-49 last season and missed the playoffs.
