James Harden: The best player in the NBA is 'probably me'

Friday February 13th, 2015

James Harden spoke to reporters on Friday in advance of this weekend's All-Star festivities in New York City.

The Houston Rockets guard was asked about who he thinks is the best player in the NBA. "Probably me ...," he responded, according to SI.com's Daniel Friedman.

Over 53 games this season, Harden has averaged a career-high 27.4 points, 6.8 assists and 6.7 rebounds in 36.6 minutes per game.

The 25-year-old is considered a candidate for this season's Most Valuable Player award.

Harden and the Rockets currently sit in fourth place in the Western Conference with a 36-17 record.
