Reports: Pelicans, Luke Babbitt agree to two-year contract
The New Orleans Pelicans have re-signed forward Luke Babbitt to a two year, $2.5 million contract, according to multiple reports.
ESPN's Marc Stein first reported the news on Thursday night, and the Times-Picayune confirmed Babbitt's new deal.
Babbitt, 26, led all qualified players in three-point percentage last season, shooting at a 51.3% clip from downtown, though he averaged just 4.1 points and 13.1 minutes per game.
In addition to Babbitt, the Pelicans have re-signed Anthony Davis, Omer Asik, Alexis Ajinca and Dante Cunningham to new deals this off-season and will return a large majority of last season's roster under new head coach Alvin Gentry.
New Orleans reportedly signed free agent wing Alonzo Gee on Friday.
