The brother of Oklahoma City Thunder guard Dion Waiters was killed yesterday, Waiters announced on Instagram.

Steve Keeley of Fox29 in Philadelphia reports that the brother, whose name and age have not yet been released, was murdered. He was one of six people killed in the city yesterday, although it is not clear if the incidents were related. 

Philadelphia police have not yet released the cause of death. 

Waiters is a native of Philadelphia, spending most of his childhood there before leaving after his freshman year of high school. Waiters went to Syracuse, before being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2012.
