The Philadelphia 76ers have quite the crowded injury report for Friday night’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. After clearing everybody but Tyrese Maxey on Thursday night against the Miami Heat, the Sixers will begin to shut down players for the remainder of the regular season.

Joel Embiid and James Harden are the first two names that stand out on the report. As expected, Embiid won’t get the opportunity to play, as reports indicated he would not travel with the team to Atlanta following Thursday night’s game.

As for Harden, he’ll follow suit as he continues recovering from Achilles soreness, which is something he’s battled for the last couple of weeks.

Tyrese Maxey and PJ Tucker will also join Embiid and Harden by sitting out on Friday. Tucker is out with calf tightness, while Maxey is out with neck stiffness.

Meanwhile, the starting forward Tobias Harris is listed as questionable due to left hip injury recovery. Then De’Anthony Melton is doubtful, dealing with calf tightness.

Both Melton and Harris played on Thursday night against Miami, but Melton was ruled out of the matchup early as he felt some soreness. Doc Rivers clarified that Melton’s fine, but the team would continue to be careful.

Lastly, the Sixers listed Jaden Springer as questionable. After getting recalled by the Sixers on Friday morning, the NBA G League Finals MVP might get the night off as he deals with a right ankle sprain. Springer would certainly benefit from the handful of absences the Sixers are currently dealing with, but he’s not cleared for action just yet.

The Sixers and the Hawks are set to tip off at 7:30 PM ET.
