What Does Kyle Lowry Bring to the 76ers?

In this story:
Over the weekend, the Charlotte Hornets and Kyle Lowry agreed to a contract buyout, following a rather quiet stint following the NBA veteran's move from the Miami Heat earlier on in the year.
This buyout opened the door for the long-rumored homecoming with the Philadelphia 76ers, which was subsequently announced by the 37-year-old on Saturday night.

What Does Lowry Bring to the Sixers?
While it may appear on the surface that the Sixers decision to sign the 37-year-old is merely to just fill out depth in their guard department following a rather costly trade deadline, which saw guards such as Furkan Korkmaz, Danuel House Jr, Patrick Beverley, and Jaden Springer depart the team.
But Lowry isn't merely just a name to fill a spot in the roster, as he has proved to be rather effective during his time with the Miami Heat earlier this season, starting 35 of his 37 appearances, in which he averaged eight points on 42 percent shooting, while also dishing out four assists per game.
It's worth noting that the former Villanova guard is likely to put up similar numbers, as he hasn't seen a huge decline over the recent few seasons, as he managed to put up double-digit scoring averages during his time with the Heat, apart from the aforementioned stint earlier this season, despite receiving fewer minutes with each passing season.
While the Sixers already have veteran figures such as Nicolas Batum, Tobias Harris, and Robert Covington, Lowry is sure to provide the Sixers with another source of leadership, given that he has been in the league for over 17 years.
An additional layer of his leadership would come in the fact that he's now the only member on Philadelphia's roster that has won an NBA Championship, having done so under Nick Nurse with the Toronto Raptors in 2019, meaning he can provide insight for his team on what it takes, similarly to what P.J. Tucker did for the team last season.
