Philadelphia 76ers' Round 2 Schedule vs. Boston Celtics

In this story:
The Philadelphia 76ers are locked into a second-round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2023 NBA Playoffs.
Entering the 2023 playoffs, the Sixers finished third in the Eastern Conference, which placed them three games back from the second-seeded Celtics at the end of the regular season.
Philadelphia picked up a first-round series against the Brooklyn Nets. Meanwhile, the Celtics snagged a first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks, who finished in eighth place but won the first game of the NBA Play-In Tournament against the Miami Heat to crack the seventh seed.
Atlanta didn’t find the same success in the first two games against the Celtics during the first round. After upsetting Miami, the Hawks struggled in Boston, going down 0-2. While the Hawks picked up their first win of the postseason on their home court during Game 3, the Celtics snagged a win in the fourth matchup to take a 3-1 lead.
Going into Tuesday’s game, the Celtics put the Hawks’ backs against the wall. However, they couldn't finish the job. As Atlanta's Trae Young got hot from three in the fourth quarter, the young star upset the Celtics to force a Game 6.

Despite getting Dejounte Murray back in the mix after a one-game suspension and bringing the series back to Atlanta, the Hawks couldn't fight to see another game. After going down with a 128-120 loss at home, the Hawks are eliminated from the 2023 NBA Playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Celtics will battle the Sixers, who put the Brooklyn Nets away with a clean sweep by winning 4-0. With the Celtics and the Sixers set to battle it out in the first round, they will begin their seven-game series on Monday, May 1.
