76ers vs. Bucks: Tobias Harris Could Miss Action on Friday

Following a back-to-back set of matchups last weekend, the Philadelphia 76ers got a lengthy break. From Monday to Thursday, the team was free from games. During that time, the Sixers focused on fine-tuning the squad after they got off to a 7-7 start.

Unfortunately, a series of injuries have made this week slightly difficult to perfect what the team has been working on. For starters, Philadelphia’s star guard James Harden remains out as he deals with a tendon strain in his right foot.

In addition, the two veterans, Furkan Korkmaz and Matisse Thybulle, are battling minor setbacks of their own, which kept them out of practice the last two days.

Now, the sophomore guard Jaden Springer and the veteran starter Tobias Harris are added to the mix. Springer, who suffered a right quad strain on Thursday, has been ruled out for at least a week’s worth of action.

As for Harris, he was added to the injury report after the Sixers’ Friday morning shootaround ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks matchup on Friday night.

Per the Sixers’ injury report, Harris is dealing with left hip soreness. As a result, he is listed as questionable for the matchup.

So far this season, Harris has appeared in all 14 of the Sixers’ matchups. Averaging 33 minutes on the court, Harris has drained 46 percent of his shots and put up 14 points per game. While his scoring is down, the veteran forward has served the Sixers’ starting lineup well with his efficient shooting.

If the veteran forward can’t get the nod to play on Friday night, the Sixers might look to utilize the veteran Matisse Thybulle as his replacement in the starting lineup. If Thybulle gets the start over De’Anthony Melton, as he has the last two matchups, then the veteran Danuel House Jr. could get a look as well.
