76ers vs. Bulls: DeMar DeRozan’s Night Ended Early

The Chicago Bulls’ night against the Philadelphia 76ers went from bad to worse on Wednesday night.

Midway through the game, the Bulls lost their star forward, DeMar DeRozan. Reports hinted that DeRozan left the team’s bench and would head back to the locker room with trainers. Shortly after, the Bulls ruled DeRozan out for the night.

According to the Chicago Tribune’s Julia Poe, DeRozan will not return to the matchup with a right quad strain.

On Wednesday, DeRozan checked in for a little over 20 minutes. He was having an uncharacteristically tough night in the shooting department, as he missed all seven of his field goal attempts. DeRozan scored just four points by knocking down all four of his free throws.

When DeRozan left the game, the Bulls were down big. As the Sixers kept their foot on the gas, they left Chicago with a 116-91 victory.

After the Sixers win, Bulls head coach Billy Donovan didn’t sound any alarms regarding DeRozan’s injury. While there weren’t any detailed updates on what DeRozan’s dealing with just yet, his potential absence could be notable for Chicago’s attempted playoff push.
