With the NBA offseason entering the most critical period on Friday, one former member of the Philadelphia 76ers is looking to make a comeback in the league.

Last week, HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reported that Glenn Robinson III has been preparing to get back into the game. The veteran hooper took to Twitter to confirm the rumors.

“Got more to give to the game,” Robinson wrote on Twitter.

The Indiana-born wing got his start in the NBA following a run at Michigan. After spending two seasons with the Wolverines, Robinson was drafted 40th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In March 2015, Robinson was waived by the Timberwolves and claimed by the Sixers. At the time, the Sixers were in a rebuild. After his ten-game run with the 76ers in 2015, Robinson found a new NBA home with the Indiana Pacers.

On the Pacers, Robinson carved out a solid role for himself throughout his three-year stint. After wrapping up his time with the Pacers in 2018, Robinson landed with the Detroit Pistons for one season. Hitting the free agency market the following year, Robinson inked a deal with the Golden State Warriors.

After posting his best numbers as a full-time starter in Golden State, Robinson was moved to the 76ers at the 2020 trade deadline. The veteran’s second stint in Philadelphia didn’t last too much longer than the first. Due to the pandemic cutting the season short, Robinson appeared in just 14 games with the Sixers. He averaged eight points while draining 52 percent of his shots.

The Sixers made major coaching and front-office changes following the 2019-2020 season. Robinson was not retained. Instead, he signed a deal with the Sacramento Kings for the 2020-2021 season. His run in Sacramento lasted 23 games before he was waived a couple of months later.

For the last two seasons, Robinson has been away from the game, but retirement isn’t in the cards just yet. At 29 years old, the former Slam Dunk Champion is looking for his next opportunity in the league. Over the span of 304 games, Robinson has averaged six points, one assist, and three rebounds. He’s knocked down 46 percent of his shots and 36 percent of his threes. The former Sixer has 105 stars under his belt.
