As the regular season gets ready to begin, the Philadelphia 76ers find themselves up to their necks in drama. After stating he plans on playing for the team, James Harden continues hold his trade demand over the front office. His latest stunt was skipping practice Wednesday to spend time in Houston.

The team might have done a good job ignoring the situation, but it's something they aren't able to fully escape. As this drags on, one former champion feels this ordeal destroys any shot the Sixers have at winning a title this year.

During a recent appearance on NBA TV, Udonis Haslem shared his thoughts on the Harden situation in Philly. He stated that a team can't expect to win a championship if everyone, especially the star players, aren't on the same page.

“I know they can’t win like that. If the goal is to win a championship, and one of your top players has come out publicly and said, ‘I don’t want to be here, but I’m going to play,’' Haslem said. "Coming from a guy who’s been a part of three championships and understanding how connected you have to be in the locker room, especially with your best players and the organization and the coaches, everybody has to be on the same page, and everybody else is going to follow. If you don’t have that, I don’t know how you put that thing together and get a championship."

Even though this group has experience dealing with something like this, it still draws time and energy away from the overall goal. That said, all the team can do is focus on basketball while Daryl Morey continues to seek a proper return for the disgruntled All-Star.
