Joel Embiid Finding Added Motivation Amid Sixers Losing Skid

In this story:
Since entering the NBA, Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has been know to be active on social media. Recently, the reigning MVP was seen keeping receipts regarding his play.
Following their loss to the Boston Celtics Wednesday, the Sixers find themselves on a two-game losing streak. This was a winnable game against their longtime rival, as they were without two key players. Following the game, fans and analysts took to social media to share their thoughts on Embiid's play against the Celtics.
Embiid let the world know he hears them and might be using it as a form of motivation. The Sixers star was caught liking Tweets criticizing his performance in the second leg of a back-to-back.

Embiid logged 34 minutes against the Celtics Wednesday and finished with 20 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. This came one day after erupting for 39 points and 12 rebounds in a nail-biting loss to the Indiana Pacers. It is worth noting that Embiid's 20 points against Boston is the lowest he has scored in a game this season.
Prior to the Celtics' game, Embiid was playing his way into the MVP conversation for the fourth straight year. He continues to be one of the league's top scorers, and his playmaking has seen a drastic increase under new head coach Nick Nurse.
Coming off his worst performance of the season, Embiid could be using this to add fuel to the fire of his motivation. The Sixers are going to need a strong outing from him as they look to stop the bleeding on this losing streak. Embiid has been known to want to silence his critics in the past and could attempt to do the same Friday night in Atlanta.
