On Wednesday night, the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics squared off for the second time this preseason. They might not have won the game, but there were multiple standouts for Philly

Among the Sixers to play well in the 112-101 loss was Kelly Oubre Jr. He led the team in scoring with 18 points to go along with three rebounds, one assist, and two blocks. Oubre also shot the ball extremely well, going 6-for-8 from the field and 4-for-6 from beyond the arc.

Following his strong preseason showing, Oubre revealed a shocking detail that led to his improved shooting vs. the Celtics. He bumped into trainer Drew Hanlen before the game, who gave him a minor adjustment in his shooting form.

"I saw Drew Hanlen earlier. Honestly, he told me that my shoulders weren’t squared," Oubre told reporters. "So, just made that adjustment, tried to shoot the easy ones, and you know that’s the key.”

Hanlen has been Joel Embiid's trainer for years and spent time working with Tyrese Maxey this summer. He continues to help the Sixers, as this minor encounter with Oubre led to some impressive results.

If Oubre can continue to shoot the ball well, he could be an X-factor off the bench this season. The Sixers rolled the dice on him after he averaged 20 PPG with the Charlotte Hornets. Based on his most recent performance, Oubre has a chance to outplay the veteran's minimum contract he signed this offseason.

In today's NBA, a team can never have enough three-and-D wing players. If Oubre can maintain this strong shooting, Nick Nurse will have no choice but to give him consistent minutes in the rotation to start the regular season.
