The Philadelphia 76ers returned to the practice court on Wednesday afternoon for their second session this week. Although they were fairly healthy heading into their Tuesday afternoon session, the Sixers did miss two players, including the veteran wing Danuel House Jr.

House was on the sidelines in street clothes during Tuesday’s session as he's dealing with a foot injury. While he had on practice gear Wednesday afternoon, Sixers head coach Doc Rivers revealed that House was not a participant during the session.

“Not today,” Rivers said when asked about House. “He’ll go tomorrow.”

The Sixers will get another practice session or two in before they face off against the Brooklyn Nets for Game 1 of the first-round series in the 2023 NBA Playoffs. The Sixers indicated that House was expected to make his playoff debut with the team on Saturday afternoon.

Considering House expects to practice before the team takes the floor in South Philly this weekend, that’s just another positive sign for the veteran wing.

Along with House, the Sixers missed their veteran center Dewayne Dedmon on Tuesday. At the time, Rivers revealed that Dedmon didn’t practice but would be back in action on Wednesday. At this point, the Sixers are relatively healthy, as everybody else has participated in practice, including Joel Embiid and James Harden.

During the final couple of weeks of the regular season, Embiid dealt with calf tightness. Harden, on the other hand, battled with Achilles soreness. Throughout the month of March, Harden missed six games. On Tuesday, Doc Rivers mentioned that the star guard is healthy and refreshed.

While Embiid didn’t miss nearly as much time as Harden during the final stretch of the regular season, Rivers said that the six-time All-Star big man is also in good shape heading into the playoffs.

The Sixers and the Nets are set to begin their series on Saturday at 1 PM ET.
