The Philadelphia 76ers have less than a week off to prepare for their first-round playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets.
On Tuesday morning, the Sixers’ social media team released a new video honoring the team’s fan base and the city’s sports culture as a whole, titling it “For the Love of Philly.”
The video features a handful of fans describing what it’s like being a sports fan in Philadelphia, with a soundtrack from Philadelphia-based artist Suzanne Sheer.

The Sixers are ramping up the promotion for their upcoming playoff run. While their seat in the Eastern Conference playoff bracket has been secured for a couple of weeks now, the time has officially come when the Sixers can stop worrying about the regular season and focus on a postseason run.
After finishing the year with a 54-28 record, the Sixers secured the third seed in the East. They’ll go head-to-head with the Brooklyn Nets in round one. The series is set to begin on Saturday afternoon, as the NBA will allow the Sixers and the Nets to tip off the postseason with the first game.
This year, the Sixers have found plenty of success against the Nets. Although they only faced the new-look Nets at full strength once, the Sixers defeated them 101-98.
As both team’s groups of reserves battled it out on Sunday for the season finale, the Sixers dominated the Nets 134-105. With that victory, the Sixers swept the Nets in the regular season for the first time since the 2010-2011 season.
This upcoming weekend, the Sixers and the Nets will battle it out in the playoffs for the first time since the Sixers’ 2019 playoff run, when Philly defeated Brooklyn in five games.
