Sixers Legend Allen Iverson Shows Love to Clippers Guard

The Rumph Classic had a couple of special guests taking the floor on Thursday night. In the first outing, Philadelphia 76ers center Paul Reed put up a double-double as he helped lead his teammates to victory on night one of the Pro-AM tournament.
Following Reed’s double-double performance, Los Angeles Clippers guard Bones Hyland made an appearance and put on a show as he helped his team snag a win as well. While Reed didn’t appear in any matchups on Friday night, the Delaware-born guard, that’s based out of Los Angeles, came back for more.
Hyland’s second run in the Rumph Classic was nothing short of spectacular. By halftime, his team was cooking as they led 50-38. At the time, Hyland has 31 points in the first half alone.
On pace for 50, Hyland scored that and then some. According to the Rumph Classic’s official Twitter account, Hyland wrapped up his night in Philly with a 56-point performance. He concluded the two-day stretch with a 2-0 record personally. And on his second night, Hyland had a notable supporter in the building.

Sixers legend Allen Iverson has never been a legend that shies away from showing love to the younger generation of hoopers.
While “The Answer” was in the building to check out everybody’s game and enjoy the atmosphere in the City of Brotherly Love, Iverson was extremely supportive of the Los Angeles veteran.
This upcoming season is shaping up to be a pivotal one for Hyland. After a strong rookie effort with the Denver Nuggets in 2021-2022, the former 26th overall pick found himself at the center of trade rumors throughout his sophomore season.
After appearing in 42 games with the Nuggets, averaging 12 points off the bench, Hyland was moved to the Los Angeles Clippers. In LA, Hyland appeared in 14 games, averaging 11 points in the regular season with his new team. In the playoffs, he put up nine points per game in five outings off the bench.
Through his first two professional seasons, the former VCU standout showed a lot of potential. Next season, he’s expected to take another step in the right direction.
