Soon, the Philadelphia 76ers will suit up for their Summer League run, which will have a stint in Utah and Las Vegas. The Sixers haven’t finalized their roster just yet, but it’s all starting to come together.

On Monday, Overtime Elite’s official Twitter account revealed that two of their former players who went undrafted during the 2023 NBA Draft had found landing spots for the Summer League. One of them will suit up for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Texas-based guard Bryce Griggs will don Sixers threads next month in Utah and Vegas. After being ranked as a four-star recruit in High School, Griggs took a different route to the NBA.

Typically, players attend a University and compete in the NCAA for one or several seasons before making their way to the NBA. However, with different options on the table these days, players are trying out different ways to make it to the league.

A couple of years ago, the NBA G League Ignite became a platform for players to focus on hoops without attending school before going to the league. Last season, Overtime Elite joined the market.

During his lone season at OTE, the 19-year-old Griggs appeared in 11 matchups. He averaged 16 points per game, along with eight assists per matchup. Defensively, he collected six rebounds per game and snatched two steals per outing. Although Griggs struggled with his three-point shot, drilling just 25 percent from beyond the arc, he knocked down nearly 50 percent of his twos.

The 76ers won’t have any draft picks from this season to play alongside Griggs, but they did add a few prospects following the event. With three two-way slots open on the roster, the Sixers added Ricky Council IV out of Arkansas, Azuolas Tubelis out of Arizona, and Terquavion Smith out of NC State.

Also, the Sixers are expected to have Marcus Bagley on board, as he reportedly inked an Exhibit 10 deal with the 76ers.
