Sixers Trade Rumors: Mavericks Targeting Matisse Thybulle?

In this story:
The Dallas Mavericks are making moves. Last week, Dallas added some star power by bringing on the veteran All-Star guard Kyrie Irving. As the Brooklyn Nets found themselves in a situation where they were forced to move Irving after his surprising trade request, the Mavericks were able to put together a favorable trade package in the eyes of Brooklyn.
In the process of landing Irving, the Mavericks’ defense took a hit as they traded away their best perimeter defender, Dorian Finney-Smith. With Finney-Smith out of the picture, Dallas is looking to upgrade on the defensive side of the ball, which leads Yahoo Sports’ Vincent Goodwill to believe that Philadelphia 76ers wing Matisse Thybulle is a potential target.
Details on the Mavs’ Interest
“Dallas, even after picking up Irving, is still looking for a wing defender after losing Dorian Finney-Smith in the deal, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Philadelphia swingman Matisse Thybulle — who seems in and out of favor with the 76ers — could be a target, sources said.”
Thybulle has garnered interest from several teams throughout the past week. It all started with the Sacramento Kings, who had their eyes on the defensive standout. Then, the Golden State Warriors and the Atlanta Hawks reportedly entered the picture.
Going into Philadelphia’s Wednesday night matchup against the Boston Celtics, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported that a third of the league has “expressed expiatory interest” in the Sixers veteran. Among the teams mentioned, Scotto pointed out the Mavericks, Kings, Hawks, and Warriors, as previously mentioned.

No Noise Until After the Deadline
