Sixers Upgrade Jalen McDaniels' Playing Status vs. Knicks

In this story:
After initially being listed as out for Friday's game against the New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers trade acquisition Jalen McDaniels has been cleared for action.
When he arrived at the Sixers' practice facility on Friday morning, McDaniels wasn't cleared to play just yet. According to a Sixers official, the trade was still pending as not all of the players involved in the trade cleared their physicals.
A few hours before tip-off on Friday, the NBA officially pushed the trade through. At that point, McDaniels was upgraded from out to active, according to a Sixers official.
Sixers head coach Doc Rivers confirmed that McDaniels would have the opportunity to play on Friday night. Considering McDaniels hasn't had the opportunity to practice with the Sixers just yet, his role and minutes will more than likely be limited in his debut.

More on Sixers Trade Deadline
The Sixers participated in a four-team trade with the Hornets, Blazers, and the Knicks to complete their acquisition of Jalen McDaniels and two second-round picks. With the trade finalized, what are the full terms of the deal?
Furkan Korkmaz is Still Around
It’s no secret that Furkan Korkmaz welcomed a trade this season. As the Turkish sharpshooter is currently out of the team’s rotation, Korkmaz was reportedly interested in garnering an opportunity to get on the court and play, whether it was in Philly or somewhere else.
Over the offseason, the Sixers traded away the veteran sharpshooter Danny Green to the Memphis Grizzlies in the deal that landed them De’Anthony Melton. While Green has finally recovered and made his debut with the Grizzlies, Memphis traded away the veteran on Thursday to the Houston Rockets. Green is likely to become available again soon.
