The Philadelphia 76ers came up short against the Boston Celtics during their Game 6 matchup on Thursday night. As a result, the Sixers failed to eliminate the Celtics, who forced a Game 7.

The Sixers received two days off between Games 6 and 7. After getting the day off on Friday, the Sixers returned to their practice facility for a session on Saturday before hitting the road to Boston for the final time this season.

After getting an opportunity to re-group and review the film, Tobias Harris and the Sixers are looking to take what they’ve learned over the last couple of days — and even in past seasons — and hoping to apply the correct adjustments to find success in Game 7.

“Our focus level, as we saw on the film today, is just being able to limit the little mistakes that we make,” Harris explained. “A lot of them are the mental mistakes, the fatigue mistakes, whatever you wanna call it, but limiting those, especially on the defensive end, and just staying sharp.”

As Harris’ teammate Joel Embiid has preached all season long, the Sixers have to be near perfect in the most critical times if they want to increase their chances of getting to where they failed to go last season. On Saturday, Harris had a similar sentiment.

“That’s the key to the game… Staying sharp,” Harris finished. “You’re never gonna play a perfect game, but just figuring out ways to be really close to that with our preparation and our game plan.”

On a personal level, Harris struggled offensively as he shot just 1-7 from the field in 42 minutes of action during Game 6. Collectively, the Sixers hit on just 36 percent of their shots from the field and 24 percent of their threes.

The Celtics were far from perfect in the previous game, but they executed much better than Philadelphia during crunch time, which made the difference. On Sunday, the Sixers can’t allow themselves to make it a trend.

With the season on the line, it’s win or go home for the 76ers in Boston on Sunday. If Harris and the Sixers want to collect a ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals, they have to execute their adjusted game plan and remain consistent throughout the matchup.
