Tobias Harris Praises Sixers' Addition of Patrick Beverley

In this story:
In an attempt to bring more veteran leadership to the Philadelphia 76ers, Daryl Morey went out and signed Patrick Beverley this offseason. Like other veterans on the roster, he is a former member of the Houston Rockets. However, he also played alongside another Sixer who is happy to be reunited with him.
Before he was traded to the Sixers in 2019, Tobias Harris was teammates with Patrick Beverley on the Los Angeles Clippers. Prior to the team's preseason matchup with the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, Harris shared his thoughts on the veteran guard signing with Philly.
“Just his tenacity to win, his attention to detail, and his pride as a player,” Harris said. “When you talk about locker room guys and culture guys, he’s one of them at the forefront. I tell people all the time that he’s one of my favorite teammates because he supports every guy on the whole team. He wants to see every single player be as successful as they can be."
Along with being a hard-nosed defender, Beverley has built a reputation for being a vocal leader on and off the court. During his brief stint with the Minnesota Timberwolves, he was praised by many for his leadership as they got back into the postseason.
Early in his Sixers' tenure, Beverley has also shown his impact as a leader. He is constantly talking on and off the floor, for better or worse. Beverley ended up being ejected from Wednesday's matchup after receiving his second technical foul getting into a war of words with Ben Simmons on the bench.

As the Sixers look to contend this season, they'll need leaders like Beverley to help keep the team motivated and focused throughout the year.
