The Philadelphia 76ers had multiple standouts in their matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks Thursday, with Kelly Oubre Jr. being one of the most shocking. In his regular season debut with his new team, the veteran forward came alive off the bench en route to putting together a stellar offensive outing.

In 32 minutes off the bench, Oubre posted 27 points and four rebounds while shooting 9-for-11 from the field. He finished as the Sixers' second-leading scorer in the game, trailing only Tyrese Maxey (31).

After the game, players and coaches were asked about Oubre's offensive barrage in Milwaukee. One of the first to praise him was Maxey. He applauded his play on both ends of the floor and cited him as someone the team is going to need all season long.

"He played really well, he defended really well, he competed really well. He's tough," Maxey said. "He's been through some stuff and he goes out there and he competes every single night no matter the circumstances. Not just scoring the ball but defensively as well. We're going to need him this year."

Heading into this game, Oubre made it clear how locked in he was to kick off the regular season. After bouncing around the last few years of his career, the veteran forward has been rejuvenated since joining the Sixers.

Nick Nurse is still working through his rotation, but Oubre might have secured himself minutes on a nightly basis. If he can continue to provide life offensively off the bench, he'll be a key piece for the second unit.

Coming off his incredible debut, Oubre will have a chance to keep the momentum rolling Saturday night against the Toronto Raptors
