Will Celtics’ Al Horford Return vs. 76ers on Tuesday?

The Boston Celtics might miss a couple of key players on Tuesday night when they pay a visit to the Philadelphia 76ers, but they won’t be without their veteran big man, Al Horford.

Lately, Horford has dealt with lower-back stiffness. When the Celtics faced the Utah Jazz on March 31, Horford was downgraded to out against the Jazz. It was the first game he missed since March 18.

Throughout the year, Horford has missed time on scattered occasions. One of his absences came against the Sixers when his former team paid a visit to Boston in early February. Despite not having Horford on the floor, the Celtics came out on top in that matchup with a seven-point win.

When the Sixers and the Celtics met in South Philly in late February, Horford was available to play. He checked in for 32 minutes. During that time, Horford knocked down 56 percent of his shots, scoring 15 points. Along with his scoring, Horford came down with four rebounds while producing two assists and snatching one steal.

Barring any unexpected setbacks on Tuesday afternoon in the hours leading up to tip-off, Horford should be good to go against the Sixers on Tuesday.

The two teams will battle it out at 8 PM ET.
