Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo powered the Milwaukee Bucks to an impressive 132-125 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night and, in the process, achieved another feat in what is shaping to be a Hall of Famer career.

Going into the game against Dallas, Giannis needed just five rebounds to accumulate a total of 7,000 career rebounds, and he easily achieved that when he finished with 40 points and 14 rebounds.

Outstanding career

Giannis became the youngest player in NBA history to record 16,000+ points, 17,000+ rebounds, and 3,000+ in a career.

The Greek Freak achieved the feat at the age of 28 years and 347 days. The record was previously held by Kevin Garnett, who achieved the milestone at the age of 29 years and 199 days.

Despite the arrival of seven-time All-Star Damian Lillard in Milwaukee, it is clear that Giannis is still the Bucks’ main man.

Off to a solid start

Antetokounmpo is off to a strong start this season. He leads the Bucks in scoring with 29.3 points a game and in rebounding with 9.9 boards per outing.

The bull-strong forward has scored 30 or more six times this season. His highest scoring output so far in the season was 54, which he got during Milwaukee’s 124-126 loss to the Indiana Pacers on November 8th.

Giannis has already had four 30-point games, one 40-point game, and one 50-point performance this season.

The Bucks got off to a shaky start this season but have appeared to have righted the ship that enabled them to climb to the upper part of the Eastern Conference standings with a 9-4 record.
