The Milwaukee Bucks bounced back from a lackluster performance the other night, using a balanced attack to beat the New Orleans Pelicans, 141-117, on Saturday night.

The Bucks recovered from a 100-112 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night as they ended their three-game homestand 2-1 to improve their record to 32-14. Milwaukee has also gone 2-1 since the firing of Adrian Griffin, with the new head coach, Doc Rivers, set to make his debut in Denver on Monday.

Total team effort

Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 30 points and 12 rebounds as he was one of the four Milwaukee players who scored at least 20 points.

Damian Lillard finished with 26 points, nine assists, and six rebounds, Brook Lopez wound up with 24 on 6-for-9 shooting from three-point range, and Bobby Portis Jr. had 20 points.

Another blowout loss for New Orleans

Khris Middleton didn’t in Milwaukee's second game of the back-to-back. The Pelicans also played their second game in two nights and suffered their second-straight blowout loss after losing badly to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, 83-107.

Brandon Ingram had 26 points against the Bucks, while Zion Williamson scored 23.  Jonas Valanciunas finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists in the Pelicans’ 20th loss in 46 games.

Tied at 17 in the first quarter, the Bucks unloaded seven straight points to go up, 24-17. Milwaukee would not relinquish the lead from that point, going into the second half up 75-63.

The Bucks outscored the Pelicans in the third period, 37-24, as they ripped the game apart in the second half, leading by as many as 34 points.
