GAME DAY PREVIEW AND INJURY REPORT: The Milwaukee Bucks look to get back on track against the Detroit Pistons

The Milwaukee Bucks look to avoid a second straight defeat when they battle the lowly Detroit Pistons on Monday night.

The Bucks split their first two games on the road, winning in Utah before losing badly in Denver on Saturday night. Milwaukee will cap its road trip on Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers.

Game preview

The Bucks are coming off a 106-129 loss to the Nuggets, and with the Boston Celtics securing a third straight win on Sunday night against the San Antonio Spurs, 137-93, their lead for the top spot in the East Conference team standings has been reduced to one and a half games.

Milwaukee sports a 53-21 record, while Boston is 52-23 on the season. Interestingly, the Bucks will face the Celtics once they complete the current four-game road trip.

The Bucks want to sweep their four-game regular season series with the Pistons. Their first meeting on October 31st was a close one, with the Bucks escaping with a 110-108 victory.

Milwaukee blew out the Pistons in their second encounter last November 2nd, 116-91, and won big again in their third duel on January 23rd, 150-130.

While the Bucks are perched on top of the East standings, the eliminated Pistons are dead-last with a woeful 16-58 record.

Injury report

The Bucks will be missing the services of Meyers Leonard (calf).

Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee), Jae Crowder (calf), and Goran Dragic (knee) are listed as probable for the Bucks.

The Pistons will be without several players, such as Alec Burks (foot), Bojan Bogdanovic (Achilles), Isaiah Stewart (hip), Hamidou Diallo (ankle), and Cade Cunningham (lower leg).

Cory Joseph (illness) and Rodney McGruder are both questionable for the Pistons.
