It appears the Milwaukee Bucks will be getting some high-powered reinforcements when they face off against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, as All-Stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday are both likely to return from recent injuries. Both players were listed as probable on the team’s injury report, indicating a strong chance that they will be available for the game.

OUT:
Goran Dragic (left knee soreness)
Wesley Matthews (right hamstring strain)
Probable:
Giannis Antetokounmpo (non-COVID illness)
Jae Crowder (right ankle soreness)
Jrue Holiday (neck soreness)
Took care of business
With Giannis and Holiday out, the Bucks still handily defeated the Orlando Magic in their last game, 134-123, for their 18th victory in 19 matches. Even without their two All-Stars, the Bucks got plenty of production from center Brook Lopez who had 26 points. Khris Middleton, who returned to the starting lineup, and Jevon Carter, who started in place of Holiday, added 24 points each to help the Bucks maintain their hold of the best record in the league at 47-18.

Milwaukee had their way with Orlando’s defense as they shot 59% from the field to nab the victory and extend their winning streak against the Magic to a whopping 14 games.
Giannis fell ill
Initially listed as probable to play, Giannis was scratched from the lineup as he suddenly felt ill due to a non-COVID issue. Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer, meanwhile, said Holiday’s neck issue had become progressively worse, and he’ll be monitored on a day-to-day basis. Jae Crowder, who was experiencing soreness in his right ankle, is also expected to play.
Out for the game versus the Nets are Goran Dragic and Wesley Matthews. Dragic, the savvy veteran guard, has yet to suit up for the Bucks ever since he was signed a few days ago as he’s recuperating from left knee soreness. Matthews, on the other hand, is recovering from a right hamstring strain.

Matthew finished his bachelor's degree in Economics (Management) at the University of Split and got his master's degree in the same field at the University of Zadar. Whether it is playing the game as an undersized 6'3'' power forward or simply watching it, Matthew can't get enough of it. After all, he has been an avid NBA fan since the 2000s. But don't get him wrong, as Matthew still loves the old-school NBA and is a true student of the game. From on-court moments to off-court stuff, whether it's about the stars of modern-day basketball or legends of the game, Matthew covers every category of the NBA world and basketball in general, as long as it makes for an engaging and exciting story.
