Bobby Portis shares he loves having Patrick Beverley as a teammate

Out of all the Milwaukee Bucks players, Bobby Portis is the guy nobody on the opposing side wants to mess with. A player who has a reputation for being physical and tough, Portis thrives on the energy and intensity he brings to the court. And as it turns out, he has found a kindred spirit in teammate Patrick Beverley.
In a recent interview with reporters, Portis shared his admiration for Beverley and how much he enjoys playing alongside him. He praised Beverley's tenacity and passion for the game, saying it inspires him to bring his A-game every night.
Two rough-and-tumble guys on the Bucks
Portis has always been the first guy to stand up for a teammate on the court, and he has found a true partner in Beverley. Ever since Pat Bev's arrival in Milwaukee, the two have quickly formed a bond based on their similar playing styles and attitudes toward the game.
It's not surprising that Portis has taken a liking to Beverley, as they both possess an unrelenting energy and hustle that can change the course of a game. Both players are known for their physicality, whether iit'ssetting hard screens or diving for loose balls.
"Like, I've always been the energy guy for the team and the guy that brings the energy and the heart. And whatever you want to call it, but it's always good for me to have another guy that's like me on the court because he gets me hyped up. He lowkey puts a battery in my back every time I'm out there on the court," Portis said after Milwaukee's impressive come-from-behind win over the Los Angeles Clippers, where he and Beverley played key roles down the stretch.

Built from the same cloth
Beverley has always been someone opponents hate to play against, but teammates love to have by their side. His tenacious defense and hustle plays make him a valuable asset on any team. Portis relayed how terrific it is to have someone of similar ilk donning the same jersey.
“It's good to have another guy that's built from that same cloth. And wears his heart on his sleeve as well. I love him as a teammate. I didn't really know him as much from afar, but now that I've been his teammate the last couple weeks, man. He's a great guy, man, basketball IQ is high. Even better person off the court as well,” Portis continued.
