Giannis Antetokounmpo moves up to 3rd in Milwaukee’s all-time leaders in steals

Giannis Antetokounmpo is now third for most steals in the Milwaukee Bucks franchise.
Giannis overtook Sidney Moncrief when he picked up two steals in Milwaukee’s 141-117 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night. The two-time MVP now has 875 steals and is just 19 steals away from overtaking Paul Pressey.

Milwaukee’s assist leaders
Quinn Buckner is Milwaukee’s franchise leader in steals with 1,042. He is followed by Pressey with 894. Moncrief collected 874 steals in 10 seasons of playing with the Bucks.
Giannis and Khris Middleton are the only active Milwaukee players to be on the Top 10 list. Khris is in fifth place with 838 steals.

On the season, Giannis is not only leading Milwaukee’s offensive attack but is also the most active in defense.
Active on both ends of the floor
Aside from leading the Bucks in scoring with 31.0 points a night, the Greek Freak is also the team’s leading rebounder with 11.7 boards a night. He is also averaging a team-best 1.3 steals per game.
Antetokounmpo ranks second in blocks with 1.1 swats per game. Brook Lopez is Milwaukee’s leading shot-blocker this season, with 2.8 blocks per outing.
Behind Giannis’ superb all-around performance, the Bucks have emerged as one of the frontrunners in the Eastern Conference. With their current 32-14 record, Milwaukee is in second place in the East, just three games behind the Boston Celtics, who are 35-11.
