Giannis Antetokounmpo is once again listed as probable for the Milwaukee Bucks’ second meeting in three days with the Detroit Pistons on Monday night.

A right shoulder contusion was the same reason when Giannis was also listed as probable prior to the Bucks’ game against the Pistons on Saturday night. The Greek Freak eventually suited up on Saturday and went on to help the Bucks secure a 141-135 win.

Playing through injuries

In the six-point win, Giannis finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists, two steals, and a block. Despite the near triple-double show, Antetokounmpo lamented that he struggled to get into a good rhythm after playing just his first game in six days.

The same shoulder injury forced Giannis to sit when the Bucks lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, 95-135. Against Detroit, Giannis committed five turnovers and missed 11 of his 22 free throw attempts.

“Obviously six days, I wasn’t able to – because we played the other day, had a day off in between – wasn’t able to get my five versus five, any contact play," Antetokounmpo said after their win over Detroit. "So if you don’t have that kind of practice day, it’s hard to find your rhythm.

Giannis has been amazing this season

Giannis has only missed two games so far this season and the Bucks have gone 1-1 in games without him. The two-time MVP has been superb for Milwaukee this season as he leads the team in points with 31.2 points, as well as in rebounding with 11.4 rebounds a game this season.

Milwaukee is currently second in the Eastern Conference with a 29-13 record. The Bucks are gunning to sweep their four-game regular-season series with the Pistons after winning their first three games.
