The Milwaukee Bucks are slowly pulling away from the rest of the pack as they currently have the best record in the league, with the competition winding down to its homestretch.

The Bucks are aware that there are a lot of games to be played yet, and slowing down is not an option.

Adapting

With the arrival of new players such as Jae Crowder and Goran Dragic, coach Mike Budenholzer said the Bucks will continue to explore how the team will continue to improve.

“We’re looking to just improve and get better. We like to adapt to the roster and we feel like we can go lots of different ways,” Budenholzer said.

Spiked by an amazing 16-game win streak, Milwaukee surged to the number one spot in the Eastern Conference with a league-best 47-18 record.

Milwaukee is two games ahead of the 46-21 Boston Celtics, who occupied the top spot for quite some time before Milwaukee came with the sterling run.

The Bucks saw their streak come to an end when they bowed to the Philadelphia Sixers at home on Saturday night, 133-130.

Recovering from the Philly loss

Milwaukee fell four straight wins of matching the franchise’s longest winning streak, but they were quick to put the heartbreaking loss to the Sixers behind them. The Bucks have started to heat up again after scoring three new wins against the Washington Wizards, Orlando Magic, and the Brooklyn Nets.

Budenholzer said the Bucks will continue to sharpen their arsenals in preparation for the stiff playoff battles.

“We just want to keep getting better defensively. We really work to improve offensively..be playing our best ball going to the playoffs,” Budenholzer said.
