In this story:

Giannis Antetokounmpo completed a triple-double when the Milwaukee Bucks took care of the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night, 118-111.

Efficient

It wasn’t just an ordinary triple-double for Giannis as he did not miss in a single shot from the field, making all his nine attempts en route to finishing with 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.

What made the feat “fascinating” was that it was not the first time or the second time that Antetokounmpo ended up with a triple-double without missing a shot from the field.

Giannis has actually completed 13 triple-double performances while going perfect from the field.

“It was like a pitcher with a perfect game,” said Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer.

Completing a triple-double without missing a single shot is hard to come by for many players. And yet Giannis has proven that achieving such a feat is no fluke, and it is to no surprise that Budenholzer was left stunned by his star player’s performance last Sunday.

“It’s fascinating to go 9-for-9 from the field and have a triple-double. I’m actually a little surprised that it happened 13 times. It seems like a rarity,” Budenholzer.

Special kind of player

It was the 33rd time that Antetokounmpo completed a triple-double in what is shaping up to be a Hall of Famer career.

Furthermore, the Greek Freak completed the feat on a night that he became the all-time leader in games played in the Bucks’ franchise history. The match-up against the Raptors was Antetokounmpo’s 712th game for the Bucks, surpassing Junior Bridgeman.

Now in his 10th year in the NBA, Antetokounmpo has undoubtedly evolved into one of the league’s elite, and Budenholzer perfectly describes his star.

“He’s special,” Budenholzer said.
