When a conversation involves the "top five" of something in the NBA, Michael Jordan's name almost always enters the conversation. And so, when Paul George talked about his top five two-way players of all time, it wasn't surprising that the Chicago Bulls icon was included.

MJ at shooting guard

Speaking on his podcast, the 32-year-old wingman sorted out the players by position. Naturally, he went with His Airness as the shooting guard. Jordan was an unstoppable offensive force in the NBA during his era while also being a superb defender.

"I'm gonna go with the goat MJ. He inspired my idol Kobe, and my idol Kobe inspired me," said PG.

At point guard, PG went with the legendary Gary Payton, who won the Defensive Player of the Year award back in 1996 and was one of the most-feared ballhawks of his generation. At the power forward position, PG chose one-time MVP Kevin Garnett, who he says was "a dog on both ends."

For his center, PG went with "The Dream" Hakeem Olajuwon, who he described as a lockdown defender and a gifted post player. The Houston Rockets icon was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and a one-time league MVP as well.

Considers himself as an all-time two-way great

George, though, is confident enough in his talent and abilities to pick himself as the small forward of this lineup. Even though he has yet to win any significant hardware to back up such a claim, the Clippers superstar believes that when healthy and engaged, he ranks up there with the all-time greats.

"At the three, gotta go me. Y'all know when healthy and locked in, I think I'm up there with the best to play both ends," said PG.
