Last week, Golden State Warriors veteran Chris Paul vouched for Coby White to win this season's Most Valuable Player. CP3 believes his mentee deserves to secure the award for the hard work he exerted last summer.

And now, it seems that the Chicago Bulls guard drew more support from another All-Star to win the MIP honor.

PG13 joins the Coby White MIP train

In the recent episode of his Podcast P, Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George cast his vote for Coby to win the Most Improved award.

Choosing from White, Tyrese Maxey, and Jalen Johnson, the three prime candidates for the MIP, PG13 picked the former North Carolina sensation as he believes it finally took over in this year of opportunity he seized from Chicago.

“Imma go Coby just because of what he's doing,” George said. “I think this is the turning point, like, he's [got paid]. He's going to be like a figure now. He's gonna be a player. Like years that come, he's turned the corner. He understands how to score, how to be efficient, how to be an NBA player and play at a high level.

“This is the Coby White you'll see going for it. So I would say Most Improved goes to Coby White.”

Coby is taking huge strides

As a former Most Improved Player winner, PG understands how to assess a player's development. In the case of Coby, he is convinced of the significant growth that the 23-year-old embraced from the previous seasons.

Compared to last year, Coby has taken a massive leap this season. He is having the best statistical campaign of his career, averaging 19.6 points, 5.2 assists, 4.7 boards, and 38.8 percent three-point shooting per contest.

“When you talk about growth right now, who grew from the previous year ‘til now, I think Coby has made that jump. … I just think Coby's jump is little higher [over other else],” PG concluded.
