Chicago Bulls guard Coby White is having a spectacular season, but can he make it to the 2024 NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis? While that remains a far cry due to the Bulls’ subpar record, Chicago’s defensive ace Alex Caruso is trying to give White a helping hand in getting him to the NBA All-Star Three-Point Shootout Contest.

The show right now

Just before Alex Caruso concluded his media availability session after their 108-104 win in Philadelphia, the first-team All-Defense team member made sure to mention his Bulls teammate Coby White, who has been balling out for Chicago of late.

“We got one last thing. We got Coby White 2024 3-point contest. Get that going everybody,” Caruso said.

While some may think this is just a case of Caruso repaying White’s previous gesture of campaigning to get the former into this season’s All-Star Game, Caruso emphasized how deserving the former Tar Heel is of a spot in the prestigious contest of long-range snipers. After all, White ranks third in the list of most three-pointers made this season, behind Steph Curry and Luka Doncic.

“He’s trying to put me in there. We’re not doing that. He’s the show,” Caruso shared.

White has been shooting the lights out

The Goldsboro, North Carolina native has indeed been the show for the Bulls this season. After a dismal start, White has picked up his play, filling the void left by the absence of the injured Zach LaVine. He’s now shooting over 42 percent from beyond the arc, making 3.2 threes per game. And though his streak of making at least three triples a game ended at 14, White is showing no signs of slowing down.

The question is, will the NBA offer him an invite?

“If they invite me, obviously, it would be a blessing and an honor,” White said.

Alex Caruso still believes the Chicago Bulls have what it takes to make the NBA Playoffs
