One of the key highlights of the Chicago Bulls' Thursday showcase against the Miami Heat was the appearance of Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer — two fan favorites of Bulls fans during the Derrick Rose era.

Noah and Boozer sat courtside at the Kaseya Centre, proudly supporting Chicago, which was their home for a portion of their NBA careers.

Noah and Boozer’s appearance to show their love didn't get wasted, as Chicago eventually came out victorious against Miami. Behind this win was a sparkling show from Ayo Dosunmu, who surely earned the affection and admiration of both ex-Bulls players.

Bulls OGs providing a boost for Ayo

Dosumnu quickly caught Noah and Boozer's attention with his fantastic display against the Heat.

When the 24-year-old dove hard and secured a jump ball sequence, Joakim stood up and applauded Dosunmu’s incredible display of hustle. A few possessions later, Ayo poured a three and raised a “3” hand sign which put a smile on the face of the former Bulls center.

For him, Joakim’s support couldn't be more energizing to help lead the Bulls with a 24-point huge output.

"That's my guy," Dosunmu said of Noah. "He's been helping me throughout the whole process from when I was a rookie. I got nothing but love for him. He was talking to me the whole game, giving me little pointers. So that was just showing love to him.”

Extend the win

The Bulls won the first game of a back-to-back against the Heat in Miami. Another victory for Dosunmu is still possible on Saturday.

Chicago rode a 25-point advantage in the first period and came out stronger against the retaliation made by Miami with Ayo, Coby White, Nikola Vucevic, and DeMar DeRozan at the front.

“For sure,” Ayo said if he believes the Bulls can also take the dub against the Heat. “You know the Miami Heat. They'll come harder, they're a great team, great coaching staff and they play one way hard. So we got to be ready for it.”
