The Cleveland Cavaliers season ended in disappointing fashion on Wednesday evening as they fell at the hands of the New York Knicks in Game 5. Now that the season is over, fans can officially turn their attention to the offseason.

There are plenty of questions that needed to be answered this summer. One of those is what decision the organization plans to make with Caris LeVert and his impending free agency.

LeVert was acquired before the 2022 NBA Trade Deadline for Ricky Rubio and three draft picks from the Indian Pacers This turned out to be a win for the Cavs as Rubio resigned with the team only months later.

LeVert's time with the Cavs hasn't been smooth sailing the entire time. He's struggled to find consistency with the team trying to multiple spots for him such as starting, coming off the bench, playing small forward, getting reps at shoot guard, and even in some rare cases the point guard.

Even with all of the going on, the veteran has averaged 12.4 points per game while shooting 38 percent from the arc in his two seasons with the Cavs. He averaged 12.1 points in 2022-23 which is the lowest since his second season in the NBA with the Brooklyn Nets.

The one area where LeVert really shined was in the playoffs against the Knicks. Cleveland couldn't find any sort of consistency in their offense, outside of LeVert. He averaged 15.0 points in 34 minutes a game and was even inserted in the starting lineup due to his strong play.

The Cavs are going to make half to make a tough decision with what LeVert's future holds. Will they let him walk or sign him and run it back?

However, LeVert has already made up his mind. When asked whether he want to stay in Cleveland, he had a simple response,

"Absolutely."
