Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart will miss approximately two weeks following right hand lacerations suffered from a non-basketball incident prior to Wednesday night’s game vs. the Los Angeles Clippers.
Smart took to Twitter to explain himself to his fans. He hit a picture frame which caused the injury.
I want to take this time to express my sincerest apologies to my teammates, coaches, and most of all the amazing Boston Celtics fans. I'm embarrassed and disappointed in my actions. I swiped at and hit a picture frame on the wall. I feel like I let all y'all down

On the season, Smart is averaging 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists while shooting 35.7 percent from the field and 29.9 percent from three.
