Observations: Cavs Dismantle Magic

In this story:
The Cleveland Cavaliers are rolling and they've yet to find a team to slow them down. They dismantled the Orlando Magic on Monday night beating them 126-99 in a contest in which the Cavs never trailed.
Here are some key takeaways from this double-digit win.
Efficient Shot Selection
Cavaliers fans are well aware of their new three-point-heavy offense that has been in full effect over the last month. J.B. Bickerstaff stressed that this offense is still about finding the best shot and not heaving threes at will.
Cleveland's efficiency numbers against the Magic prove that the team is still being conscious of their shot selection. The Cavs shot 56% (45-80) from the floor and 52% (20-38) behind the arc in the win.
Cavs Paint Presence
The Cavs let the ball fly from deep against the Magic, but one of the reasons this worked so well is because of the presence they established in the paint. Cleveland outscored the Magic 40-34 down low. This included the second quarter which Cleveland scored 18 points in the paint versus Orlando's four.
Jarrett Allen's Dominance
The dominance of Jarrett Allen continues. He scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds solidifying his 12th straight double-double which set a new Cavaliers franchise record.
One key takeaway from this stretch is just how strong and confident JA has looked in the paint. He's driving, getting and-ones, and playing with a newfound confidence over the last few weeks.
Sam Merrill Is The Real Deal
Sam Merrill has been a sensation off the Cavaliers bench. His underdog story set him apart at first as the long-range shooter entered the rotation when Darius Garland went down with an injury.
At this point, teams have had an opportunity to get film on Merrill. It's no secret he's going to shoot the ball whenever he has the opportunity. Still, Sam scored 26 points while shooting 61% (8-13) from behind the arc.
He's the real deal.
