Sources have informed Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Boston is inking free agent swingman Kendall Brown to a new contract. Scotto reports that Brown will be angling to nab a two-way deal through training camp, meaning this is likely an Exhibit 10 deal.
The Boston Celtics have agreed to a deal with Kendall Brown, sources told @hoopshype. He’ll compete for a two-way spot in camp. Brown was a two-way player with the Brooklyn Nets last season. He averaged 16.1 points on 57% from the field and 40% from 3-point range in the G League. pic.twitter.com/CxUB4SNDUi

Last year, Brown served as a two-way player for the Brooklyn Nets, but played exclusively for their G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets. He did log some actual NBA minutes with the Indiana Pacers from 2022-24, however.

Across 21 contests with Indiana in two seasons, Brown averaged 1.4 points on 54.5 percent shooting from the floor and 60 percent shooting from the foul line and 0.5 rebounds in 4.9 minutes per.
Brown has suited up in a total of 54 G League games for the Fort Wayne/Indiana Mad Ants (now the Noblesville Boom) and Long Island Nets. Brown boasts NBAL regular season averages of 15.4 points on .545/.377/.780 shooting splits, 5.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.7 blocks per.
Scotto also just reported Friday morning that Boston would be bringing aboard free agent small forward Jalen Bridges, most recently of the Phoenix Suns.
The Boston Celtics and Jalen Bridges have agreed to a deal, league sources told @hoopshype. Bridges will compete for a two-way spot in training camp. Bridges was a two-way player with the Phoenix Suns last season, appearing in eight NBA games. pic.twitter.com/59i5zpfh94

Brown and Bridges will also be competing with a pair of additional training camp signings, wing Ron Harper Jr. and guard Hayden Gray, for a two-way roster spot.
Currently No Two-Way Roster Openings
How could this be the case if the Celtics already have three promising rookies — center Amari Williams, guard Max Shulga, and shooting guard/small forward RJ Luis Jr. — all signed to Boston's three two-way slots already?
With two standard roster players on partial guarantees and one additional spot available, it certainly seems possible that one of the current two-way signings could level up to a role with Boston's standard roster. Williams could have a legitimate shot at rotation minutes, with Boston's center position now in total disarray.
Celtics team president Brad Stevens traded away starting center Kristaps Porzingis to the Atlanta Hawks this summer and let third option center Luke Kornet sign with the San Antonio Spurs. Backup Al Horford remains available, but appears to be waiting for the Golden State Warriors to sort out their Jonathan Kuminga situation before signing with that Pacific Division squad.
