Brown led by example for Boston and averaged an eye-popping 31.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game to help lead the Celtics to their perfect week. The 26-year-old shined the brightest when Boston needed him the most Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs.
Boston took on the Spurs and were shorthanded with fellow young star Jayson Tatum missing the contest due to a left hip contusion. Brown took over the contest from the jump and poured in 41 points to go along with 13 rebounds to help lead Boston to 137-93 win.
Brown has shined for Boston so far this season in what has been without a doubt the best season of his career. He's averaging career-highs across the board with 27 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game in 63 games played.
Boston certainly is going to need Brown to continue playing at this level if it wants to make its way back to the NBA Finals. He has shown no signs of slowing down, so hopefully that can continue.
