Richard Jefferson Weighs in On Paul Pierce vs. Dwyane Wade Debate

In this story:
In an appearance on It Is What It Is, hosted by Cam'Ron and Ma$e, Celtics legend and Basketball Hall of Famer Paul Pierce compared his career to Dwyane Wade's, noting, "Put Shaq on my team, put LeBron and (Chris) Bosh with me. I'm not going to win one?"
And while the 10-time All-Star didn't want to knock his teammate on the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team, a roster intended to celebrate the best 75 players in league history, he also pointed to being the superior three-level scorer and three-point shooter as evidence of why he's the better of the two despite having one championship ring to Wade's three.
On Road Trippin', a podcast hosted by former NBA players Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye and Lakers pregame host for Spectrum SportsNet, Allie Clifton, the group weighed in on the debate that's gone viral in the dog days of the offseason.
Jefferson, who had multiple playoff clashes against Pierce and Wade, expressed, "I've played against both of them in their primes; D-Wade was an unstoppable force. Paul was a complete monster. Cold scorer, could shoot, (could) beat you in every way, (but) there was nothing that was stopping D-Wade from getting downhill.
The 17-year NBA veteran added, "But I will say this: ball in the hands for a last-second shot? I would've probably feared Paul Pierce more than D-Wade."
