The Latest on Celtics' Guard Marcus Smart's Status for Game 4 vs. Hawks

In this story:
The Celtics could find themselves without starting point guard Marcus Smart on Sunday.
Late in the fourth quarter of their 130-122 loss to the Hawks in Game 3, Smart took a hard fall, landing squarely on his lower back.

Saturday, he provided an update, conveying, "a little bit sore today. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. Not really sure where we're at right now with playing, but we'll see."
Boston's injury report doesn't bring much clarity to the matter, listing Smart as questionable for Game 4 due to a lower back contusion. At least it's better than if he already got ruled out for Sunday's matchup.
And if the Celtics are without their floor general, it helps that the backcourt is where they have the most depth and that they can lean on Derrick White and newly crowned Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon.
As Boston aims to take a 3-1 lead and prevent Atlanta from evening the series at 2, Smart and Danilo Gallinari are the only players on its injury report.
Game 4 tips off at 7:00 p.m. EST. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the matchup before, during, and afterward, including whether Smart suits up. And follow @BobbyKrivitsky on Twitter for updates and analysis from pregame to post.
