Former Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward appeared on the latest episode of Podcast P, hosted by Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George.

Hayward spoke at length about his three-season stint in Boston and revealed that when Brad Stevens was recruiting him to join the Celtics, the 47-year-old said his vision was for Hayward, Kyrie Irving and Al Horford to hand the team to Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum in a few years.

Across 125 total regular-season games played with the Celtics, Hayward averaged 13.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from behind the 3-point line.

His time with the Celtics came to an end when he inked a four-year, $120 million deal with the Hornets in the 2020 offseason.
