76ers Player Reacts to James Harden Blasting Daryl Morey

In this story:
Having recently signed with the Philadelphia 76ers, veteran guard Patrick Beverley now finds himself in a unique position. Getting his start in the NBA with the Houston Rockets, Beverley has a strong relationship with both James Harden and Daryl Morey. With the two now going through a messy public breakup while Harden pushes for a trade to the LA Clippers, Beverley addressed the situation on the latest episode of his podcast.
"I obviously understand both sides," Beverley said. "I understand James's side, obviously the window of making a ton off money in this league for a long period of time, that window is very small."
Beverley continued by saying that Harden is entitled to feel any way he wants if he's been promised certain things, and added that he is one of the most talented players ever, and has adapted his game to become Philadelphia's point guard.
As for Morey's side of this situation, Beverley said, "His job is to get the best product for as cheap as possible. So you know, that's his job... That's the name of the game. You're a GM, you're a president, you're trying to get a bunch of great product for as least as possible."
Beverley didn't take a side in this situation, but acknowledged the unfortunate nature of what has occurred, especially for somebody like himself who has a strong relationship with Harden and Morey.
