The LA Clippers made shockwaves around the NBA world today when it was reported by Adrian Wojnarowski that they're going to sign Russell Westbrook after he gets bought out by the Utah Jazz.

The decision has been met with a split reaction from fans and got a split reaction from JJ Redick as well. At first, JJ gave a very positive reaction to the new acquisition. Stating that Westbrook could help win a playoff series for the Clippers.

"I think there's a way that he makes an impact, I don't know if it's him playing 30 or 35 minutes a night with Kawhi and PG at this point in his career," Redick said. "Do I think he's going to make an impact? Yeah. I was actually having a conversation with somebody on Saturday we were talking about him going to the Clippers. I could see him, especially come playoffs, winning a playoff game. Where he just comes in, he's a madman, he's running around, he's grabbing loose balls, getting rebounds, taking into transition, attacking the rim, 22 points 8 rebounds, 6 assists, in 24 minutes. They win a game. Turns the series around."

After giving Westbrook some praise, Redick then gave a brutally harsh reaction, saying that it's going to be the same exact situation as it was before on the Lakers.

"I'm not going to sit here and analyze, it's the same shit," Redick said. "He's a guy when we've seen him succeed later in his career, it's when he's got the ball in his hands, and he's surrounded by shooting. And that's not going to be the case here."

To say Westbrook isn't surrounded by shooters is a very interesting statement. Here are the three-point percentages of rotation players currently on the Clippers.

Kawhi Leonard: 38.0%
Paul George: 38.2%
Marcus Morris: 38.0%
Norman Powell: 41.7%
Eric Gordon: 37.5%
Nicolas Batum: 37.8%
Terance Mann: 39.2%
Bones Hyland: 50.0%

Almost every player on the Clippers is shooting nearly 40% from three, so it's very bizarre to hear Redick say shooting will be an issue. The bigger issue for the Clippers is taking away minutes from Terance Mann, Eric Gordon, and Bones Hyland.
