Russell Westbrook Ties Michael Jordan on Historic List

In this story:
Having played all 82 games four different times in his career, LA Clippers guard Russell Westbrook is one of the most durable players in NBA history. Westbrook has yet to miss a game this season, which if it holds, would make this the 6th time in his career he has played every game (including the 66-game lockout season in 2011-12).
Appearing in his 1,251st career game on Sunday afternoon (playoffs included), Westbrook tied NBA legend Michael Jordan for 61st all-time on this list. While most all-time rankings are sorted to include only regular season stats, it can be interesting to include the playoffs when looking at certain statistical totals.
Only looking at the regular season, Westbrook is 63rd all-time in games played, passing Hall-of-Famer Vlade Divac on Sunday afternoon. As previously mentioned, including playoff games moves Westbrook up two spots, and into a tie with Michael Jordan.
With so many deep playoff runs, Jordan was able to ascend very high up this list despite not playing as many seasons as most players near him on the all-time games played list. Westbrook has also appeared in a lot of playoff games, having played 116 postseason contests in his 16-year career.
Durability is one of the most important attributes an NBA star can have, and Westbrook is one of the most durable players the game has ever seen.
