Former Grizzlies Player Makes Surprising Statement About Knicks Guard

During a recent episode of No Chill with Gilbert Arenas, former Memphis Grizzlies guard Danny Green was asked which NBA players are the toughest for him to guard. Listing off some of the expected names like Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Luka Doncic, Green also spoke specifically on the guys who move around a lot, and included an unexpected New York Knicks guard.

"There were always certain guards that gave me problems that I had to chase," Green said. "Like JJ Redick, [Klay Thompson], obviously Steph [Curry], Evan Fournier, randomly you'll have a guy like that where you'll have a night chasing him, Joe Harris before his injury."

While Curry and Thompson were obvious inclusions to this list, along with Redick and Harris to a lesser degree, Fournier was the surprising addition that Green admitted was random. An All-Defensive guard in 2017, Green has always been a high-level defender, and gave some quality insight into which players are some of the toughest to defend.

Recently signing a new contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, Green is attempting a comeback after playing just 11 games last season, with three coming in Memphis, and the other eight coming in Cleveland. Looking to bounce back after a tough injury, Green will bolster a Philadelphia bench that has made some quality veteran additions this summer amidst the wild James Harden situation.
