Former Grizzlies Player Reacts to LeBron James Committing to Olympics

It was announced by Shams Charania of The Athletic that Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James plans to represented Team USA at the 2024 Olympics. This news comes shortly after USA Basketball was eliminated from the FIBA World Cup without medaling, which some felt could motivate USA's biggest stars to commit to the Olympics.

It was clear that Team USA did not have anywhere close to their best possible roster for the World Cup, and former NBA star Gilbert Arenas was very vocal about that. Arenas, who finished his career with the Memphis Grizzlies, went on the record calling this Team USA roster an "F group" compared to what they could assemble. Reacting to the news that LeBron James plans to play for the Olympics, Arenas shared this video:

"Bron coming," Arenas said. "Ya'll celebrated too early. The King coming. And he's bringing all the Louis Vuitton luggage. Not that outlet sh-t we done had this last go around."

It was a hilarious video that Arenas shared, celebrating that Team USA will have a much more competitive roster than they had for the World Cup. It was always likely that USA Basketball would be able to assemble a better roster for the Olympics than they did for the World Cup, but it seems their disappointing run has motivated the best American stars to commit for next summer.
